Be Inspired 2011: Cathal Gaffney, Brown Bag Films

Cathal Gaffney, CEO of Oscar nominated Brown Bag Fims, is guest speaker for the final Be Inspired, Be an Entrepreneur  of 2011.


Cathal is a co-founder and CEO of Brown Bag Films, an award winning animation studio established in 1994 and employing 85 staff from its studio in Smithfield, Dublin and a further 12 staff in its Los Angeles office.In 2002 Cathal's short film ‘Give Up Yer Aul Sins’ was nominated for an Academy Award® and in 2010 Brown Bag Films were nominated for their second Oscar with the short film ‘Granny O'Grimm’ directed by Nicky Phelan.

Cathal will be interviewed live on stage by MC Conall O' Móraín, presenter of the Sunday Business Show on Today FM, alongside two young Irish  entrepreneurs who recently graduated from DIT Hothouse Venture Programme for start-ups: Niall Harbison, founder & CEO online marketing agency Simply Zesty and Ronan Percival, software entrepreneur.

Be Inspired, Be an Entrepreneur, is a series of free lunchtime talks to insprire a new generation of Irish entrepreneurs, organised by DIT Hothouse and sponsored by Dublin City Entreprise Board.
