DIT is delighted to announce that it has been selected to host the premier rubber research and technology event of 2011 – the 7th European Conference on Constitutive Models for Rubber (ECCMR)

The Conference will take place in the Radisson–Blu Hotel, Dublin 8 from the 20 - 23 September 2011 and keynote speakers include the internationally reputed scientists Professor M. Klüppel, Head of the Department "Material Concepts and Modeling" at the German Institute of Rubber Technology (DIK) in Hannover, Professor Alan N. Gent, Professor Emeritus of Polymer Physics and Polymer Engineering at the University of Akron, Ohio, and Professor C. P. Buckley, Professor of Engineering Science, University of Oxford.

A bi-annual event, the ECCMR conference was initiated to give leading polymer scientist, experts of material testing methods, experts of modelling and software developers an interdisciplinary platform for networking and information exchange. The previous six conferences, Vienna in 1999, Hanover in 2001, London in 2003, Stockholm in 2005, Paris in 2007 and Dresden in 2009 were highly successful and attracted a large number of delegates from a wide variety of disciplines in academia and industry worldwide.

Around 175 scientists from over 17 countries are expected to attend this year’s conference in Dublin.¿
