If you are attending classes and have not yet registered on your programme for the academic session 2011-12 you need to do so immediately. 

By using the details sent to you on how to register, you can register online by logging on to www.dit.ie/registration

If you have not yet received details on how to register please ring the registration service at 01 402 4663 or drop into one of our student service centre offices:

 

Southside office: Room G044, ground floor, DIT Aungier St

Northside office:  Room 319, first floor, DIT Bolton St. 

Opening hours 9am until 5pm Monday to Thursday

9am until 4pm on Friday only.

Deferring your Place on a Programme

If you have been granted a deferral of your place on your programme please ensure you have followed the correct procedure to defer your place full details are available on our website http://www.dit.ie/registration/deftranswdraw/defer/:

Withdrawing from your Programme

Alternatively, if you have decided to withdraw from your programme, again please ensure you have followed the correct procedure to withdraw from your programme, full details are available at http://www.dit.ie/registration/deftranswdraw/withdraw/

It is important that you notify DIT as soon as possible about what you are doing and bear in mind an important date of 31st October 2011 as after that date if you choose to defer and/or withdraw you may have to pay additional fees if you choose to pursue third level studies in future and you have not officially deferred your place or withdrawn from your DIT programme.   For further details on this see http://www.dit.ie/registration/deftranswdraw/

Paying your fees

A late fee of €150 euro will be applied to all students accounts who have NOT registered by 31st October without exception

Below is a reminder of the options available to students when paying fees to DIT or applying for a grant (grant assistance is only applicable to fulltime undergraduate and fulltime postgraduate students).  Students have the following options:

  1. Paying 100% of their fee due now– Students must pay before 31st October or they incur a late fee of €150
  2. Paying 50% of their fee due now-Students must pay the first instalment before 31st October or they will incur a late fee of €150.  If no payment is made by a student the instalment option will be removed and they will be required to pay 100% of the fee due. Students who choose to pay in two instalments must pay the second instalment by 31st January or incur a late fee of €150
  3. Declaring whether they have applied for a grant from a local authority to cover their fees for 2011/12 (applicable only to fulltime undergraduate and fulltime postgraduate students)- If, it is discovered that a student has falsely declared that they have applied for a grant they will be charged an additional registration fee of €500.
Students will not be permitted to register without choosing one of the 3 options above

If students do not have the facility to pay the fee online they should request a bank giro immediately by emailing studentfees@dit.ie  or request one on our website at http://www.dit.ie/registration/requestservice
