Traffic Restrictions due to State Visits

Impact on travel times to examinations

12th May 2011

Due to the State visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Ireland between 17th-20th May, and the visit to Ireland of President Barack Obama between 23rd – 24th May, an Garda Síochána has notified the public that traffic restrictions will be in place throughout Dublin City. There will also be restrictions on main roads and rail links coming into the City. As a result, delays in travel time are to be expected.

All students are reminded to allow for additional travel time during the period of all your examinations to ensure timely arrival at Examination Centres. Please check your exam timetable and if you have any queries contact the Exams Office. Please also check with your transport provider to make sure you are aware of changes to normal schedules.

Thank you for your cooperation and we wish you every success in your examinations.
