The Institution of Structural Engineers and Dublin Institute of Technology are delighted to welcome Dr. Allan Mann to deliver the 2012 James Daly Lecture. Dr. Mann has been involved in truly unique international structural engineering projects over the course of his career, including the London Eye; its successor, the Beijing Wheel; the construction of the Royal Opera House in London; and Wembley International Stadium, to name just a few.

The Institution of Structural Engineers was founded for members to share knowledge and learn from each other. Dr. Mann will consider the enormous complexity of structural information that now exists and how it can be collated and disseminated to successive generations.

Everyone is welcome to attend this lecture, which also forms part of the calendar of events to celebrate the centenary year of technical education in Bolton Street.
