CPD programme in Thermal Bridge Analysis – starts January 2013

4 December 2012:  The Dublin School of Architecture, DIT, is offering a CPD Certificate programme in thermal bridge analysis, and applications are now open.  Aimed at graduates of architecture, architectural technology, engineering, and construction-related disciplines, the programme runs for 15 weeks from 28 January 2013.  It is open to both Springboard and general applicants.

The content of this innovative programme is focused on thermal bridge analysis which requires an understanding of various thermal performance predictive computer applications. Industry based building designs will be used as the basis for project work to give realistic context for collaborative and multi-disciplinary work.

Over one semester students will develop a focussed skill set in the use of thermal performance applications and the development of construction details which mitigate and control thermal performance.

The programme will start in the week commencing 28 January 2013 and will run over the 15-week academic semester. In the first six weeks you will be required to attend 2-hour sessions on Tuesday evenings and 4-hour sessions on Thursday afternoons.  From week 7 – 13, attendance will be 6 hours each Thursday.

For Springboard applicants, the closing date has been extended to 14 December 2012.  The closing date for general applicants is Friday, 18 January 2013.  Details on how to apply are available on the School of Architecture website at:
