DIT Drama Society are proud to present The DIT Drama Festival 2012!

8th March 2012: The Festival begins with 'Reboot' written and directed by Drama Soc's very own Micheál Fleming.  This is a story about Justin, an unemployed, reclusive 23 year-old guy who has no motivation to do anything except play computer games. Then he meets Helen, and this chance meeting inspires Justin to change his ways. A story about overcoming the obstacles we put in front of ourselves.  'Reboot' opens the festival on Thursday 8th & Friday 9th of March.

Second up is Siobhan McGuire's adaptation of 'A Skull in Connemara.' Set in a secluded village in rural Galway, 'A Skull in Connemara' probes into the grim lives of four locals.  This dark comedy is both hilarious and twisted revealing disturbing truths about the cruel and harsh community of Leenane.  Mick Dowd is the local grave digger, and when the grave is full to the brim with dead bodies, he has to dig up the bones to make room for new corpses, but it's more than dead bones that rise to the surface this time. See thid dark comedy on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th of March.

Finally to close the festival will be 'Prime Cut,' another "home grown" play, this time written and directed by Eimear O'Hehir. 'Prime Cut' is set in the kitchen of the stylish Chateau Bleu restaurant. Stories of love, betrayal, loyalty, jealousy and murder run along side by side seemlessly in this play. It deals with "cut throat" restaurant industry, with tragically hilarious consequences. Enjoy this 'Prime Cut' on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th of March.

Tickets €5 for students, €8 for adults. Each production begins at 7 in the Black Box in DIT Aungier Street.

A festival not to be missed!
