DIT Graduate Film ‘Shellshock’ scoops international award... again!

DIT Graduate Film wins award Down Under


DIT Graduate Short film ‘Shellshock’ has claimed this year’s Tadgell’s Bluebell Honour Award at the 15th Auburn International Film Festival for Children & Young Adults.

The Auburn Film Festival in Sydney, Australia is dedicated to exhibiting films made primarily by adults for a young audience. This year’s festival (September 17th -21st) featured shorts and feature films from 24 countries. ‘Shellshock’ was the sole Irish representative.
Shellshock is a short film produced by the graduating students of DIT’s BA Media Arts programme in 2011. The film was made in association with Special FX Ireland and it depicts one soldier’s struggles with war.  It was filmed over five days at locations in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare. It's post-production took place at DIT Aungier St.

Since completion, Shellshock has screened in numerous film festivals and events, and has won several awards.

You will have an opportunity to see ‘Shellshock’ on RTÉ in early December. Details will follow.
