The Bolton Trust/DIT Student Enterprise Competition is delighted to announce a three-year sponsorship agreement with AIB.

The Bolton Trust is an independent voluntary trust actively committed to assisting people in creating sustainable business. It was established in 1986 by staff of the Dublin Institute of Technology. As part of its commitment to encourage and promote new business enterprise in Ireland, the Trust established a student enterprise competition in 1993.

Now in its 19th year, the Bolton Trust/DIT Student Enterprise Competition has grown to become the largest third level competition of its kind in Ireland. The business plan competition, which is open to students of all disciplines in DIT, promotes innovation and entrepreneurship amongst students and encourages them to apply their course work creatively to the demands of real life enterprise.

Sharing a commitment to students and to enterprise and innovation, AIB has become involved with the competition in a sponsorship role for the first time, in what will be an exciting and promising partnership.

Nick Donnelly, Regional Director, AIB Dublin South said;

“We are delighted to be able to partner such a dynamic and innovative college as DIT and applaud their work in providing students with the practical skills required for an ever-changing workplace.

In conjunction with DIT, the hard work and dedication of the members of the Bolton Trust provides a platform for potential entrepreneurs to flourish.

AIB recognises the importance of nurturing this emerging talent and through our support of the Student Enterprise Competition would like to encourage the creativity and innovation which is essential for any successful business.”
