New part-time MSc programme in HR Management

29 August 2012: A small number of places are available on the MSc programme in HR Management, offered this year for the first time in the DIT School of Management. This part-time Level 9 Masters programme will be delivered over 5 semesters, two evenings a week. In addition to experience in the workplace, successful applicants will have an honours degree in a cognate discipline – for example, in business, psychology, sociology or law. Applicants with an ordinary degree but with significant and appropriate work experience may also be considered.

The School of Management has a strong record in the disciplinary area and has a close, collaborative relationship with the key professional body, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD UK & Ireland), and this new programme is structured in line with CIPD professional requirements. According to Ms Teresa Hurley, Head, School of Management, “This programme provides an intellectual formation and a pathway to career development. Graduates will gain the knowledge and skills to advance as HR professionals, both in Ireland and internationally, and they will have a full understanding of the complex issues in current HR management theory and practice.”

Applications for this new programme are now being accepted. For more information please contact the School of Management Administrator by email at or by telephone at 01-4023031.
