SHOW_12 – Dublin School of Architecture
8th June 2012: The Dublin School of Architecture welcomed students, graduates and guests to their 2012 End-of-Year exhibition, featuring the work of students of Architecture and Architectural Technology from first to final year. The School recently relocated to the Linen Hall building in Bolton Street and the exhibition is the first to be shown in their new premises.

The President of RIAI, Michelle Fagan – herself a DIT graduate – was guest of honour for the opening, and was shown around the various exhibits by Ms Orna Hanly, acting Head of School. Ms Fagan also met with the postgraduate class who presented their findings on retrofitting public housing to maximise fuel efficiency, potentially saving residents up to 90% on their fuel bills – click here for further details.
The exhibition of work by the graduating class of BA Architecture was entitled ‘Boglands’ and was sponsored by Bord na Mona. The challenge for the students was to propose alternative uses for significant areas of raised bogland in the ownership of Bord na Mona which is no longer available for peat harvesting.
The exhibition runs until Friday 15th June in DIT Linen Hall, Bolton Street Dublin 1 and all are welcome to view it.
