DIT and Temple Bar Gallery + Studios Connection

25 September 2013: Temple Bar Gallery + Studios is marking its 30th anniversary this month with a range of studio exhibitions.

As part of the celebrations to mark this special occasion, the current studio artists at TBG+S have invited past studio artists back to exhibit work in their studio spaces over three days, from Tuesday 24 – Thursday 26 September. During this time, the participating studios will be open to the public, and hopes to welcome many more visitors and past artists back to celebrate the rich history of visual art that has been produced within the walls of the building since September 1983.

Included in the exhibitions is Studio 7 Joe Hanly + “DIT/TBG+S connection”:  Brian Fay, Anna MacLeod, Ronan McCrea, Anita Groener, Mark Garry, Linda Quinlan, Cora Cummins, Fiona McDonald, Patricia Hurl, Therry Rudin, Patricia McKenna, Paddy Graham and Peter Jones.

Temple Bar Gallery + Studios began as an artist’s initiative and remains artist governed 30 years on.  Over the years, hundreds of artists have made use of the studio spaces at TBG+S, and countless works of art have been produced in the building to be disseminated around the country and the world.

The exhibitions will run from 12 noon to 6pm daily, ending Thursday 26 September.
