DIT to host first ever Irish Google in Education Summit

15 October 2013: DIT will host the first ever Google in Education Summit held in Ireland on 31 October and 1 November this year.

The event, which will focus on how to best use and integrate Google Apps for Education and other Google tools for higher education, will take place at DIT Bolton Street.

It’s set to attract a huge range of people including teachers, lecturers and other educators along with administrators, library media specialists, tech support staff and many more.

Registration is now open for the two-day summit, which is being produced by EdTechTeam.

As part of the summit, there are places currently available for a YouTube Teacher Bootcamp. This is being hosted by Google Dublin and there are a limited number of places available for those who register for the Google in Education Ireland Summit.

The Google in Education Summit is held at venues all over the world with the most recent venues including Melbourne and Cape Town, South Africa.

Sessions include two keynote presentations, a demo slam competition and a closing capstone session. The two days also feature informative breakouts, cutting-edge demonstrations and hands-on workshops led by experienced and knowledgeable professional developers.
