Graduates of School of Hospitality Management and Tourism win top awards

Two graduates of DIT’s School of Hospitality Management and Tourism were announced as the winners of the top two awards at the Irish Hospitality Institute’s Founders Banquet and Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday evening the 28th in the Four Seasons Hotel Dublin.

Mr. Niall Rochford a graduate from 1993 and currently working as General manager of Ashford Castle was awarded the very prestigious Irish Times Hospitality Manager of the Year award for 2013. Another graduate Mr/ Alan Smullen and current student on the MSc in Hospitality Management programme was awarded the prestigious Jumeriah Young Hospitality Manager of the Year award for 2013. Alan is currently General Manager of the Doyle Collection Croke Park hotel.
