Ombudsman Emily O’Reilly will deliver a talk in DIT on Monday 04 March on the topic of the ‘The Role of the Ombudsman’.




The function of the Ombudsman is to investigate complaints from members of the public who believe that they have been unfairly treated by certain public bodies. The range of Ombudsman remit has been widened following recent legislation and Ms O’Reilly will speak about this expanded remit as well as about the nature of the issues that are brought to the Office of the Ombudsman.
