Tightening the Screw: Final Rehearsals

11th January 2013: Students at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama are in final rehearsals for their production of Benjamin Britten’s Turn of the Screw which opens on Tuesday 15 January in the Gleeson Theatre, DIT, Kevin Street. Directed by Vivien Coates, with conductor David Brophy, this is possibly one of the most dramatically appealing English operas ever written, with its beautiful music and gothic drama, and the students are revelling in the challenge.

Pictured below are Shauna Buckingham, and Ferdia Walshe-Peelo, who play Flora and Miles, and Kelley Lonergan who plays Mrs Grose, the Housekeeper. David Brophy conducts the DIT Chamber Orchestra.
