Connemara adventure for DIT International & Access foundation students

DIT international & Access Foundation students experience the great Irish outdoors

 homepageDelphi

DIT International and Access Foundation Programme students escaped the classroom and headed west to Connemara, Co. Galway to the Delphi Mountain Adventure Resort.  Set in the breath-taking Delphi Valley, on the Wild Atlantic Way, Delphi is a 400 - acre adventure resort that offers adventure, relaxation and team building activities within some of the most awe - inspiring scenery in the world.

This trip took place during the Foundation Programme review week and was a great opportunity for students to take a break from their studies and for them to recharge their batteries ahead of the upcoming exam period.

story1Delphi

Here I am a few days after the trip, and I still cannot forget the awesome and joyful experience I just had. I had not expected to go on a trip when I first applied at DIT.   If I am to remember something out of that trip, it would be me interacting with people who I have never thought I would before, or even sit next to on the way back from the trip, I made so many more friends. The academic staff also went with us, and as an international student that means a lot to us. Indeed, it gave us the opportunity to talk to them, interact in activities, and eat together. Thanks for my memorable trip to Delphi. ”

story2Delphi

“I had never heard of Delphi before the going on the class trip but I am really glad that I know about it now. It’s in an amazing location in County Galway with beautiful mountains and hills all around it. There were lots of activities on offer for us to enjoy including kayaking, raft building, high ropes, hill-walking and archery. It was a great way for the students to get to know each other in a different way than we are used to”.
