The Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association (ITBA) has revealed newly-designed trophies, created by DIT Interior Design student James Cash.

James won a competition to design a new annual ITBA award trophy with his beautiful design capturing horses in motion.

Commenting on the trophy Barry Sheehan, Assistant Head, School of Art, Design and Printing, DIT said: “Horses, being wonderful and complex animals, are hard to represent. The winning design by DIT Interior Design Student James Cash really captures the thoroughbred horse, its elegant movement and energy.”

Runners up included DIT Visual Communications student James Leahy and DIT Product Design student Christopher Wallace.
