14 January, 2014: ENTER 2014, the largest eTourism Conference of its kind in the world, will take place in January. DIT is the local organiser for this event, which is in its 21st year and is being held in Ireland for the first time.  It will be held in the Chartered Accountants House on Pearse Street from 22-24 January 2014.  As part of this conference, a dedicated Irish eTourism Day will be held on 22 January at the same venue. The Irish eTourism Day is a one day event which hopes to showcase all that is good and great in Tourism Information Technology in Ireland.

Speaking about the event Dr. Patrick Horan, School of Hospitality Management and Tourism, DIT said: “ DIT is delighted to be hosting Ireland’s first ever eTourism Day.  This conference day will form a national networking event for tourism and hospitality stakeholders in Ireland and will bring  together a cross-section of best practice of the use of ICT in the Irish Tourism industry.  It is aimed at engaging the Irish E-Tourism community through discussions about topics that are of particular interest to the Irish tourism and hospitality industry including E-Commerce, smart technologies and E-Marketing.”
