DITSU in conjunction with USI launches Ireland's largest Entrepreneur and Innovation event just for students

19 March, 2014: A unique event aimed at fostering student entrepreneurship was launched today in Dublin Castle.   The USI Student Summit is the largest Entrepreneur and Innovation event of its kind in Ireland and it is aimed entirely at students.

Organised by DITSU in conjunction with USI, the Student Summit 2014 takes place on the evening of April 8th in the PrintWorks Conference Centre, Dublin Castle.   Over 600 students, student entrepreneurs and over 30 of Ireland’s finest start-ups and innovative business entrepreneurs will come together with a view to encouraging today’s students to become the entrepreneurs of the future.  With a host of key note speakers, seminars, workshops, and meet and greet opportunities, the event provides a forum for the sharing of knowledge, ideas and experience of entrepreneurship.

Speaking at the launch, William Meara, Vice President, Events DITSU said:  “The need to foster student entrepreneurship has become increasingly important.  As we all know entrepreneurial activity is a key driver of economic growth and as such by developing the entrepreneurial capacity of our students, we can enhance the economic and social well-being of our country.  Up until now, there has been no dedicated event on a national scale to encourage student entrepreneurship. In order to address the need we have organised USI Student Summit - the largest Entrepreneur and Innovation event of its kind in Ireland aimed entirely at students.”
