Gastronomy Book launch closes Successful Symposium

Dr. Joseph Hegarty, Dr. Eamon Maher, Dr. Máirtín Mac Con Iomaire, and Professor Brian Norton at the launch of ‘Tickling the Palate’: Gastronomy in Irish Literature and Culture (Peter Lang 2014)

On Wednesday 4th June, Dr. Joseph Hegarty officially launched ‘Tickling the Palate’: Gastronomy in Irish Literature and Culture in DIT Cathal Brugha Street and the event marked the close of the 2nd Biennial Dublin Gastronomy Symposium which brought researchers from Harvard, Concordia University Montreal, Baliol College Oxford, University of Queensland, University of Arkansas, Drexel University, and the University of Bristol together with likeminded foodies and scholars from DIT,ITT, TCD, UCD, UCC, CIT, LYIT,  GMIT, and NUI Maynooth. The theme for the third Biennial Dublin Gastronomy Symposium 2016 will be ‘Revolution’.
