Posted: 24 October, 2014

Five students of journalism in DIT carried out a detailed survey on financial literacy among students, which they presented at the recent Cleraun Media Conference.  Jack Maher and Eddie Butler, and the students pictured, are all in the 4th year of their degree programme in journalism.

The Cleraun Media Conference was established in 1986 and takes place every two years. It has become an important forum where media practitioners can address and discuss ethical and professional issues which arise in the course of their work in a positive and constructive way. The 2014 Conference took place from 19 – 21 October.  The theme was Conflict Resolution Journalism + Professional Integrity and Ethics.  DIT students from the School of Media also reported during the conference, using social media, audio and video.
