Notice of Information for Annual DITSU Elections

homepageDitsu ‌

Dear student,

Please note the information regarding the opening of nominations for the Annual DIT Students’ Union Elections. Every registered student of the institute is eligible both to contest and vote and I would ask that you take a few seconds to at least exercise your voice in March. There are so many burning issues for students both inside and outside DIT. This is your Union and now it’s over to you for your decision.

The most powerful bargaining tool that your representatives can have is a strong mandate, demonstrated by high turnout. Last year, just under 3,500 students voted in DITSU Elections. This year, we need to ensure that the team that comes next to work for you has the strongest hand possible. Over the next few weeks, we will be doing everything we can to get you engaged in the Elections. You can look forward to a real buzz around campus as well as some great events that will mix debate with banter.

All in all, running for election was one of the best things I have ever done. If you feel like you have something to contribute to student life, come down and talk to us about the various positions. All of the information you will need on candidates, role descriptions, budgets and much, more, can be found on our one-stop shop for elections, www.ditdecides.com – You can even recommend a friend to run for a position, if you think that all they need is a bit of positive encouragement.
