Prospective graduates can find a gateway of opportunities at DIT PR, Event Management and Communications Conference

24 March, 2014: Only a few months away from graduating and worried about the lack of job prospects that face you? Have exciting new ideas but lack the connections to make them happen? Then come along this week to the PR, Event Management and Communications Conference on Friday 28th March.

The Conference is aimed at providing students who have an interest in the areas of public relations, event management, journalism, public affairs, and communications with a better understanding of the options available to them upon graduation. A number of leading professionals from the PR, Event and media industries will be in attendance to help answer any questions you might have and offer any guidance they can to make sure that you leave satisfied about your future prospects. Among these are PR academic Ellen Gunning, award-winning journalist Kate Shanahan, Marketing Director of Arnotts Louise Conlon, and Managing Director of Pembroke Communications Michael O’ Keeffe.

According to Helene Duffy of the PRPA Society and one of the organisers of the conference; "The PR, Event Management and Communications Conference is much more than a PR and media showcase. It is an event that looks at helping you, the student, acquire contacts that could be useful when you finally graduate and enter the field of employment in any of these industries."

Tickets are priced €10 (€5 for students). Tickets can be bought on Eventbrite and DITSU Shops.
