For a slimmer, fitter, healthier DIT community, register for the DIT OT Team today!  Professor Donal O’ Shea & former Irish international rugby player Keith Wood launched the latest National Operation transformation campaign earlier this week and the DIT OT Team will be inspired to follow the journey of this year’s OT Leaders across a 7 week period all the way to the grand finale in February.  The goal at the end of the Challenge is for all participants to have the confidence and self-belief to participate in the Operation Transformation 3k Fun Run which will be held at DIT Grangegorman Campus on Friday 28th February.

Four DIT Operation Transformation Service experts – Sport and Recreation, Health Centre, Counselling, and Dietetics Services supported by the Department of Biological Sciences will be offering a ‘package’ of support designed to encourage and motivate the DIT OT Team throughout January and February and provide the best tips and advice on calorie counting, healthy recipes, exercise, techniques to increase motivation and lots of other transformation topics.

To support the DIT OT Team to commence their life changing journey over the seven week programme, the DIT Operation Transformation Service experts will provide the following package of support:

  • - 3 individual (1 x 45 minute + 2 x 30 minute) consultations per participant, plus online support (Dietetic Services supported by the Department of Biological Sciences)
  • - An analyse of overall fitness levels, weekly ‘meet and train’ sessions and discounted rates to access the Fit2Go Club fitness facilities (Sport and Recreation Service)
  • - Body composition analysis and weekly weigh-in sessions (Health Centre)
  • - One to one consultation (1 x 30 minute) per participant to help identify and address habits, motivations, emotions, stress levels and self image so that you can achieve your desired goals (Counselling Service)
