Mechanical Engineering students on study visit

Posted: 21 October, 2015

A group of DIT students of Mechanical Engineering recently visited a major control and instrumentation show at the NEC Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, accompanied by their lecturers.

Featuring the latest solutions to current and future manufacturing challenges, the annual TCT exhibition covers a wide range of technology and engineering equipment, including advanced CAD; Machining; 3D printing; and the latest in automation and controls equipment.

In addition to attending seminars in coaching, design practice and team building, the students also had the opportunity to interact directly with international suppliers of engineering equipment, and to explore options for project work.

The trip was organised by Ger Nagle and colleagues Kevin Delaney and David Kennedy also accompanied the group.
