Posted: 31 March, 2016

DIT Conservatory?s orchestral and piano students are getting ready to take over DIT Gleeson Theatre on April 16 for a day-long marathon of musical performances with all proceeds donated to Pieta House.

DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama's orchestral and piano students are getting ready to take over the Gleeson Theatre, DIT Kevin Street on Saturday 16 April for the DIT Music Marathon, a day-long marathon of musical performances featuring the range of orchestral ensembles at the Conservatory, as well as concerto soloists, chamber music and piano performances.

The performances will feature a programme of popular classics and contemporary repertoire for film, stage and concert hall. Showcasing our youngest students from as young as six years to accomplished performers studying at undergraduate and postgraduate level, the event will have something for everyone, including string, wind, percussion, jazz and piano performances.

The Conservatory is delighted that all proceeds on the door will be donated to Pieta House, a non-profit organisation providing a specialised treatment programme for people who suffer from suicidal ideation or who participate in self-harm.

A fun, family day out, we hope to see you there!
