A unique opportunity to view paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations and video in 13 different locations by the 17 final year students of the DIT, BA Visual Art Programme, on Sherkin Island.
- Art Trail maps will be available and the artists will be present to talk to visitors during exhibition hours.
- Sherkin Island Ferry is offering HALF-PRICE €5 return tickets on Saturday and Sunday.
- SPECIAL LUNCH AND REFRESHMENT DEALS in the Islander’s Rest, the Jolly Roger, Sherkin North Shore and Seán the Shops.
- BICYCLES FOR HIRE and a SHUTTLE BUS also runs from the pier on Sherkin at a cost of just €2.
BA (hons) in Visual Art Programmme based on Sherkin Island is fully accredited, managed and delivered by the Dublin School of Creative Arts, Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) in partnership with Sherkin Island Development Society (SIDS) and Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre, and is part-funded by Cork County Council and the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
