The School of Biological Sciences has been shortlisted for the Irish Laboratory Awards 2016 in the category Education Laboratory of the Year.

The School of Biological Sciences has been shortlisted for the Irish Laboratory Awards 2016 in the category Education Laboratory of the Year.

Now in their third year, the Irish Laboratory Awards celebrate excellence and innovation within Ireland's laboratory sector.  They were introduced to recognise the successes and achievements of Ireland's internationally renowned scientists in areas including innovation, leadership and collaboration and focus on the ongoing work of Irish scientists to grow and develop sustainable, globally competitive science research.

The School of Biological Sciences has over 500 students studying on five degree and two taught masters programmes. The School also offers Ph.D. and M.Sc. research programme and has an active research profile in Biomedical sciences, Immunology, Molecular Diagnostics, Marine Science and Human Nutrition.

The overall winners will be revealed at a special awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 25th.
