Full house for PMI & Engineers Ireland lecture at DIT

The School of Management hosted a lecture on behalf of PMI and Engineers Ireland last week on Project Management.

Paul O’ Reilly (Head of Research, College of Business), Niall Murphy (President, PMI) and John Mc Grath (Lecturer School of Management), Dr Teresa Hurley (Head of School of Management).

The lecture, “Searching for a single version of the truth: exploring PMBOK Knowledge Areas using real-world case studies” was delivered by John McGrath, lecturer in Project Management & Consultancy in the School of Management. 

 

In the 20 years, prior to joining DIT, John gained significant teaching and consulting experience with a number of major international organisations. His track record includes over 100 of Ireland’s top 1,000 listed companies, government agencies, state enterprises, Engineers Ireland, the United Nations, the World Bank and the International Paralympic Committee. John discussed a number of case studies which he had project managed in the past which provoked lively discussion.

 

The event was sponsored by PMI, Engineer’s Ireland, and PWC and Morgan McKinley who had recruitment teams available on the night to discuss career opportunities for graduates and experienced professionals. PWC is the largest professional services firm in Ireland and Morgan McKinley is a global professional services recruitment consultancy.
