DIT Hothouse Masterclass with Fran Behan: ‘Why is innovation so challenging?’Posted: 23 September, 2016
Fran Behan of Corning Inc held a masterclass on Wednesday 21st September 2016 in the new purpose built incubation centre and research facility, the Greenway Hub, located at DIT Grangegorman.
Fran Behan is the Innovation Effectiveness Manager at Corning Incorporated, Sullivan Park Research facility New York. He was recently appointed the first Adjunct Innovation Research Fellow at DIT Hothouse.
Fran described the Innovation process incorporated by Corning and the resulting success achieved. A success rate in any discipline of 3% to a high of 50% might be seen as under achieving. To be more efficient, an Innovation process is required. Knowing the key elements to be explored in a timely manner will help focus learning and help avoid the pitfalls of either spending too much time or money without a high probability of success.
As a leading international expert Fran brings an extraordinary wealth of experience & expertise to the innovation and enterprise support function at Dublin Institute of Technology. DIT Hothouse would like to thank Fran for a superb presentation and look forward to working together to benefit DIT’s entrepreneurs and researchers.
