The School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology in DIT Cathal Brugha Street once again hosted a party for local senior citizens this year.
Diarmaid Murphy, Lecturer School of Culinary Arts & Food Technology and DIT students who prepared the Senior Citizens Christmas meal
The invited guests included 125 members of the local community and the delicious Christmas dinner was prepared and served by staff and students of the School. DIT Students’ Union, DITSU, who helped to create a festive atmosphere with Christmas decorations and table settings, were also on hand to welcome guests and assisted Santa Claus in distributing some presents to the senior citizens.
The School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology would like to thank the students and lecturers who prepared and served the wonderful food and organised the event. A special word of thanks also to all the volunteers who assisted, the Chaplaincy, DITSU, and the DIT Porters on duty who ensured that the party was so enjoyable for all of the guests, and to Aramark ltd, for use of the cafeteria for this great annual event.
