Chinese visitors on Winter School Study Tour

Posted: 24 February, 2016

Last month, DIT played host to a large delegation from China, who participated in the Winter School study group.

They were comprised of staff members, including the company’s senior management team, of the Mei Zhi Yan group, a leading market supplier of cosmetics and beauty products in China.  The group currently employs 3,000 people and is planning to expand into Europe.  As part of a staff training development programme established for the company by the School of Hospitality Management and Tourism, the Chinese delegation attended lectures on social media marketing, English as an additional language, communications, and western cuisine and hospitality.  For many of the delegation this was their first trip outside of China and they thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Dublin and to DIT.
