DIT Societies celebrate a year of Student Volunteering

Posted: 1 June, 2016

DIT students, staff and graduates are invited to DIT Aungier Street this Friday, 03 June, to celebrate the fantastic work students have done this year through a range of societies.

Collectively, they have raised €15,000 for really deserving causes including Wells for Zoe, Irish Cancer Society, Jack & Jill Foundation, SVP Society, Temple St Children’s Hospital and Pieta house.  At the event on Friday, the volunteers will have an opportunity to meet representatives of the charities and to present them with a cheque to support their work.  DIT Student Volunteering Awards will also be presented to recognise the exceptional efforts made by societies.

Come along to the event at 3.30 pm and show your pride in our fantastic students!  There will be a BBQ and live music from 4.30 – 8pm to mark the beginning of summer.  Tickets are only €10 and are available at ¿ - PROMO CODE: DIT SOCIETIES
