MSc in Strategic Management

This well-established programme is offered in the College of Business, DIT, on a full-time basis over one year and a part-time basis over two years.

Expertise in the field of strategic management has never been more important given the turbulent and challenging environment within which businesses now operate and individuals who have developed strong expertise in this field are vital to the success of any organisation. For a business to survive and thrive, it must be able to anticipate change and to manage it at a strategic level. Graduates of this programme will be well placed to undertake that level of strategic planning whether they are in the public, private or voluntary sectors. 

It is suited to high potential applicants who wish to develop their capabilities in the field of strategic management. Applicants typically will have between 3 and 10 years experience. To date, some graduates have come to the programme with up to 20 years experience, but have greatly enhanced their abilities through re-assessing their approach to change and to challenge. Participants on the programme are of all ages, and come from all sectors. For example, recent graduates have come from the financial services; technology and telecoms companies; arts and services organisations; pharmaceutical industry; and consultancy. The mix of public, private and not-for-profit sectors, as well as organisations of small and large scale, contributes to the learning experience of participants.
