Ivan Webb Scholarships 2018

Four remarkable Construction Management students have been awarded Ivan Webb Scholarships for 2018.

Each year, the Scholarship is awarded to students of the Construction Technology Diploma course and the Bachelor of Science in Construction Management course in recognition for their outstanding academic performance.

This year’s 2018 Ivan Webb Scholars are:


Joseph Little (DIT), Graham Woods, Cormac Smith (MBCA President) and Mark Mulville (DIT)

First Year Full Time Scholarship Award

Graham Woods received the First Year Full Time Scholarship Award

Second Year Full Time Scholarship Award

Sionainn McLaughlin was awarded the Second Year Full Time Scholarship Award

Gold Medal Award for highest overall marks on the BSc (Hons) Construction Management

Mark Stuart was awarded the Gold Medal Award

The Ivan Webb Scholarship Foundation was established by the Master Builders’ Contractors Association (MBCA) and the Construction Industry Federation to commemorate the memory of the late Ivan Webb, one of the Irish businessmen killed in the Staines Air Disaster. Ivan Webb was a Council member of both the funding organisations, was President of the MBA in 1953 and President of the CIF in 1956.
