NZEB CPD Awards 2018Posted: 19 October, 2018
Congratulations to the building professionals who successfully completed Continuing Professional Development (CPD) upskilling in Building Performance at the Dublin School of Architecture in the academic year 2017-18.
Seventy students took part in the Sustainability Skillnet-funded 'CPD Certificate in Nearly Zero – Energy Buildings (NZEB) Policy & Technology' module in three separate cohorts. Seven further students took part in the 'CPD Certificate in Hygrothermal Risk Assessment', while three students took part in the 'CPD Diploma in NZEB Design Tools'.
These modules are part of and sit within the larger 6-module DT9771 'Postgraduate Certificate in Building Performance (Energy Efficiency in Design)' programme, which will see seventeen students graduate in October 2018, many of whom will progress to the Postgraduate Diploma and MSc in Building Performance (Energy Efficiency in Design) thereafter.
As a result of this initiative, in the first year of the Dublin School of Architecture PGCert / PGDip / MSc Building Performance (Energy Efficiency in Design) programme, we have upskilled 80 building professionals in a range of critical NZEB skills and knowledge.
On 12th October DIT President, Professor Brian Norton officiated at an Awards Ceremony and wine reception. Following some short speeches, awards were presented, and it was a great night with a lot of happy faces. Graduates of DT9771 Postgraduate Certificate in Building Performance (Energy Efficiency in Design) also attended to congratulate the CPD award winners.
The DT9771 'Postgraduate Certificate in Building Performance (Energy Efficiency in Design)' programme is now running with Springboard+ funding which allows a 90% fee discount.
