Posted: 26 March, 2019

Dublin School of Creative Arts Visual Merchandising student, Jenny Mangan, won the Silver Medal at IrelandSkills Live which took place from 21-23 March 2019 at the RDS. Jenny was one of four Dublin School of Creative Arts students who took part in the competition.

The competitors were given the Wild Atlantic Way as a concept from which they had to design and create an accessory window display using given props and materials such as MDF in 12.5 over two days. The second part of the competition involved a technical challenge involving vinyl graphics and paint over 5.5 hours.

President Michael D. Higgins and Sabrina Higgins visited IrelandSkills Live taking great interest in the students work, describing Jenny's window display as 'brilliant.' Jenny will represent Ireland at the WorldSkills in Russia in August.
