Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) is one of Ireland’s largest and most innovative institutions, offering career-oriented learning across an extensive portfolio of programmes in business, engineering and built environment, sciences and health, and arts and tourism. DIT is renowned for its innovative programmes; strong student-staff interaction; excellent student support services and activities, an outstanding record in entrepreneurship, and business incubation, and for its collaboration internationally and civic engagement at home.
On Friday 2nd December and Saturday 3rd December DIT is holding Open Days for everyone interested in finding out more about DIT. This Open Day is a great opportunity for you to come and see DIT in person and for you to explore the exciting choices that are available to you in DIT. DIT’s Open Days are designed to give you all of the information you need, with a non stop, jam packed programme of events and activities running throughout the two days. Learn more about the study options on offer, talk with lecturers, discover more about DIT’s award winning services, and find out about life as a student in DIT from the people who know it best – our students and staff.
All aspects of DIT will be covered as well as information about higher education and college life in general. As well as being available at the various stands in the exhibition area, staff from across the Institute will make detailed presentations on specific programme areas. These presentations will be repeated twice during the day to enable you to explore as many of the options that interest you as possible.
As the closing date for CAO applications approaches, we are very conscious of the difficult task students face when making decisions about future courses of study and career options. This is a decision that will shape your future career, so we would advice you to take time to consider your personality, your talents and your ambitions – choose a programme of study that you will enjoy and one that will lead you towards a rewarding career. Please ask us for any help that you need – if we don’t know the answer, we’ll find someone who does! We hope that your visit to DIT will help you make a thoughtful choice and that during the day you will find the right DIT programme for you and the key to a successful and happy future.
Everyone is welcome to the DIT Open Day– prospective students, their families, friends, teachers and careers advisors, mature students, those interested in part time or postgraduate study options. All are welcome and we hope that you enjoy your day at DIT!
