Fees for Academic Session 2012/13

SUSI Grants

The new SUSI grant applications scheme is receiving much media attention at the moment. DIT's registration and student fees policies are designed to ensure that students are not denied access to services while they are awaiting grant applications. All full time students at DIT who have applied for a grant are able to register in full and are given full access to all DIT services including student cards, library access, web courses and email. Students applying for grants are able to register online and have instant access to these services. In contradiction to coverage in the media, no student in DIT awaiting the process of a SUSI grant application has been denied access to services.

Programme Fees

All Programmes offered by the Dublin Institute of Technology are subject to a fee. The fee charged includes a Student Contribution Charge (formerly known as the Student Capitation or Registration Charge) and a Tuition Fee. The Student Contribution Charge fee is now set at €2,250 for the coming academic year 2012/13.  The Tuition fee is determined by a number of factors such as:

  • Type of Programme (Undergraduate, Postgraduate, etc.)
  • Level of the Programme (Level 6 - Higher Certificate, Level 7 - Ordinary Degree, Level 8 - Honours Degree, Level 9 - Masters Degree, etc.)
  • Whether the programme is Part-time or Whole Time
  • Whether you are entering DIT as an EU or Non-EU student
  • Eligibility for the free fees initiative

More detailed information about the fees which are applicable to the various programmes offered by Dublin Institute of Technology will be available shortly.

In addition, there may be some other charges relevant to your chosen programme of study. The processing of Student fee payments is managed by the Fees and Income office.
