I'm A New Student to DIT
Welcome and congratulations on obtaining a place in DIT. 
You are one of the following student categories:
Undergraduate CAO Student, Direct Entry Undergraduate Student, Post Graduate Student,
Part Time student, Continuing Professional Developement (CPD) Student,
Springboard Student.
You now need to (1) complete the online registration process and (2) pay your fees online.
To complete the web registration process you will need:
- Invitation to Register Letter (Contains your Student ID and your PIN).
- Personal Public Services Number-PPSN. (Required by DIT’s funding authority i.e. HEA)
- Credit/Debit Card (Debit/Laser cards may have a limit of €1,500 per transaction)
- Your bank account details
(Relevant only to students awarded a Third Level Trainee (TLT) Maintenance Grant. This grant is for Level 6 (Higher Certificate) and Level 7 (Ordinary Degree) students whose maintenance payment will be made directly to their bank account). - A DIT Online Web Registration User Guide is available for students to view should you need any guidance through the process
As part of this process you will be asked to:
- Review/Update your personal information
- Complete Higher Education Authority Socio-Economic profile -
(Information on Higher Education Authority - Data Collection and HEA Equal Access Data Collection) - Register on your chosen programme
- Pay your fees online
On completion of the web registration process:
- A 'Confirmation of Registration' email will be sent to your DIT student email account.
- Print off this email and present it to the Registration Service at your student ID Card collection. The date, time and location of your ID Card collection is located on this website under the section 'Registration: Next Steps'.
Important:
- The fee amount displayed in the Web Registration system is the provisional fee which we have calculated for you and is subject to change. This fee can change dependent on the information provided by you during your Web Registration.
- If you have any questions about the fee charged please contact registration.service@dit.ie.
- The Registration Service will conduct spot checks to verify that all information provided by students is factual. This will involve students providing documentary evidence to support the answers they have given during registration. Documents requested will be passports, birth certificates, proof of prior study, evidence of eligibility to study in Ireland etc. If a student has falsified any information the consequences will be serious.
