Dr John Donovan
Dr John Donovan is DIT's Head of Research and is responsible for the European Research Support Office and Research Support Unit which help researchers apply for and manage funding under national, European and International funding schemes.

Jean Cahill
Jean is responsible for promoting DIT's research and enterprise activities including production of Research News, Innovation and the DRE website. She is also the DRE's contact for the research theme of Food and Health Sciences.

Andy Maguire
Andy works with DIT's research teams, assisting them with post-award management and operational issues. He also has responsibility for promoting activities in sustainability research including energy, environment, transport and urban mobility.

Sandra Fisher
Sandra Fisher is the Head of Enterprise and Research Development Services for DIT's enterprise and research theme of Social, Business and Economic Development. She is also responsible for DIT's Research Support Training Programme. Sandra supports the implementation of DIT's enterprise and research strategy and is particularly interested in the development of collaborative projects between DIT and other external stakeholders - for example partnerships with industry. Sandra is a graduate member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and also holds a Masters in Business Studies from University College Dublin. Her research interest is in the area of work-based learning.

Dr Tony Betts
Dr Tony Betts is responsible for DIT's research theme of new materials and engineering. He also provides DIT's research community with the support they need when preparing proposals, looking for funding and in the early stages of project set-up and approval. In particular he focuses on providing assistance with funding programmes administered by Enterprise Ireland, Science Foundation Ireland, the Department of Agriculture and Food, the Environmental Protection Agency, and IRCSET.

Tom Flanagan
Tom Flanagan is Head of Commercialisation and leads Hothouse, the award winning Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre at Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT).

Professor Mary McNamara
Head of Graduate Research School
She manages graduate research programmes at DIT and with the graduate research school team, administers the academic guidelines and regulations of the Institute in relation to postgraduate research awards in DIT. She is the guarantor of graduate research quality assurance and also works with schools and colleges in the development of structured PhD programmes.
