Postgraduate Diploma for Post-Primary Teachers in Spanish/Italian

In January 2003 the School launched its Postgraduate Diploma for Post-Primary Teachers in Spanish and Italian. Its overall aim is to provide practicing teachers with the requisite competencies in Spanish and Italian and in teaching methodology so as to enable them to teach the language at post-primary level. The Postgraduate Diploma was developed in close co-operation with the Post-Primary Language Initiative (Department of Education and Science) and continues to draw on DES support to meet and address the changing needs of participants and language teachers in post-primary schools. The Postgraduate Diploma is fully funded by the DES under the National Development Plan.
