Irish Cultural Studies 1 & 2

European Myth

As an international student, would you like to add a cultural dimension to your studies while in Ireland?

If you are a full-time student registered on a DIT programme, you can choose to take a module in Irish Cultural Studies or European Myth as part of your programme of study.  These modules are semesterised and carry 5 ECTS credits per semester.

Irish Cultural Studies 1 & 2 will allow you explore aspects of Irish culture and identity, including literature, history, the arts, contemporary society and creative media. 

The module on European Myth will allow you to explore and identify key myths of European modernity in literature and other media.

At the end of the course and in addition to what you have achieved through your chosen programme of study, you will be awarded a DIT certificate.

If you do not sit EAP placement test, you must register in the School of Languages office, room KA 3-015 AT DATES AND TIMES ADVERTISED OUTSIDE THE OFFICE.
