Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Photography

The BA Photography is a practical, critical and theoretically challenging course for those who seek to study photography in the context of broader media practices and the visual arts. You will be given the opportunity to develop your own visual practice by learning about the history of the medium and developing a critical understanding of the social and cultural significance of photography.

The course provides a very high standard of professional education and training in both analogue and digital technologies to support students to fully achieve their creative potential as image makers.

You will acquire the conceptual and technical skills required of a professional media practitioner working in photography and related fields. Graduates of the course are socially engaged, creative practitioners and critical thinkers equipped with excellent communication and transferable skills, who are prepared for a range of related careers and ongoing professional development.
