A sound understanding of law is critical in a number of areas, including business, finance, human resources and in public service.

For over 25 years, the Dublin Institute of Technology has been a pioneer in the provision of legal education.

We specialise in postgraduate conversion programmes aimed at non-law graduates, namely our Postgraduate Diploma in Law and MA in Law programmes.  We also offer part-time, flexible-delivery programmes such as our BA Ord in Law and LLB (Hons) programmes, as well as innovative industry and professional development programmes in law.

Based in our city-centre campus in Aungier Street, our staff members include whole-time academics and skilled practitioners, all of whom have considerable experience in the teaching of law to life-long learners.

The Department of Law places a strong emphasis on socio-legal studies and participates in cross-disciplinary research and scholarly activities. Staff also actively engage with civil society, government and voluntary organisations.
