DIT Societies Xmas Appeal 2016

This year DIT Societies Xmas appeal is underway from Nov 21st to December 7th. Every year the Soceities office run a Xmas appeal in support of three chairites: This year the students have chosen to support Saint Vincent De Paul, Focus Ireland and The Dublin Simon Community.

In a time when Dublin is facing it’s biggest housing and homelessness crisis in our history, DIT students have decided to support these organisations that work to help individiuals imiopacted by this crisis. DIT students know that our contribution to needy families and children will make a real and lasting difference this christmas.

The Xmas appeal is your oppurtunity to get involved:

  • Get involved with the many Society events happening accross campus Each student Society is hosting an event in support of the Xmas appeal. The events are as varied as the Societies and represent the many different interests and activities the students are involved in. Keep an eye out for these events and please support them when you can – all proceeds from these events goes to the DIT Xmas appeal!

  • Buy a raffle ticket to support the appeal Students and staff will be selling raffle tickets in support of the appeal. Please buy a raffle ticket and support our effort. You could win some fantastic prizes and your contibuting to the impact we are making together

  • Contribute a gift or food donation to the Giving-Tree campaign Each campus in the city has a SVP Giving-tree with instructions on how to make a food or gift donation. (for details see: http://www.dit.ie/societies/ditxmasappeal/) These donations will be delivered to needy families, children and adults before Christmas. You have an oppurtunity to help these parents feel less stretched over christmas, to provide a gift that a child will open on christmas day.
Together we can make a difference this christmas
