Dublin Ladies Senior Footballers, with 5 ex and current DIT students in their panel, won their 2nd All Ireland title in two years with a 3-11 to 1-12 over Cork in Croke Park on Sunday afternoon.

Captained by MSc Accounting graduate Sinead Aherne, who also contributed a fine 1-07 on the day, with MSc Marketing graduate Sinead Goldrick and Niamh McEvoy (MSc Business and Entrepreneurship) chipping in with a point each to bring the Brendan Martin cup back to the capital.

Dublin led by 4 points at half time thanks to Ahernes penalty and Goldrick, who played a big part in setting up Carla Rowe for her first goal in the 31st minute, and maintained their lead throughout the second half. Amy Connolly (MSc Accounting) was a late sub and Aoife Kane (BSc Economics and Finance) was part of the panel on the day.
