Programme Description
The motor industry is an exciting and dynamic place to work. This programme is tailored to prepare graduates to perform in senior technical, administrative, supervisory and management positions. It will equip them with the necessary mix of academic and practical skills, giving them an inter-disciplinary approach to carrying out tasks. An important part of the programme is the 2/3 months which students will spend in suitable, related employment each summer which further enhances subsequent employment prospects.

Employment prospects are excellent as there is a continuously strong demand for suitably qualified graduates to fill the many technical, administrative, supervisory and management positions available in all sectors of the motor industry.
What other options do I have after completion?
Students who have reached the appropriate level in final examinations and meet certain subject prerequisites may have the opportunity to access honours degree programmes at the Year 3 level in DIT and elsewhere in Higher Education.
Students who successfully complete year two of this programme and who do not wish to progress to the third year will receive a Higher Certificate award.
