Instrumental Tuition & Musicianship Classes (Adults)
The Conservatory offers part-time students over the age of 18 the opportunity to take instrumental/vocal lessons in combination with an appropriate level of Musicianship tuition. Continuing Education students must have some performance experience in the instrument/voice – the Conservatory does not accept adult beginners. All students can apply for a place in one of the Conservatory’s many ensembles.
We offer instrumental and vocal tuition in the following disciplines:
- Piano, Organ, Harpsichord, Classical Accordion
- Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
- Flute, Oboe Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon, Recorder
- Trumpet, Cornet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba
- Concert Harp, Irish Harp, Classical Guitar
- Singing, Repetiteur, Advanced Vocal Studies
Junior Conservatory of Music
Specialist music education for children & young people aged 3–18
DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama provides the ideal environment to nurture and develop the musical abilities of your children. With a dedicated and experienced staff, we create an atmosphere of energy and enthusiasm combined with a creative yet disciplined approach.
We offer a wide variety of instrumental and vocal tuition, supported by weekly musicianship classes and, in the case of students learning orchestral instruments, participation in ensembles. Our 'Early Years Music' programme offers an invaluable start from age 3; and we also provide classes for students taking Junior and Leaving Certificate Music.
